Kilkenny

Kilkenny can (sich damit rühmen ... zu sein) boast of being Ireland's (am besten erhalten) best preserved (mittelalterlich) medieval city. The castle is well worth a visit, and the old pubs and restaurants are very impressive as well.

Kilkenny is also famous for its beer. The brand that we know as Kilkenny, however, is called Smithwicks in Ireland.
